Autovista Group Survey: Which system will benefit safety most?
21 May 2018
The European Commission has published new proposals to further improve vehicle safety, with manufacturers already increasing the amount of technology included within their models to pass Euro NCAP tests.
Road deaths across Europe have fallen in recent years with the advent of new technology being credited with helping the most towards these results. The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) has suggested that more systems could be included in type approval clauses in order to further boost the safety of vehicles on the continent.
However, with so many technological gains, Autovista Group wants to know which safety system will contribute most in the coming years. Are current technologies such as active braking and lane departure warnings going to continue leading the safety drive, or would alcohol locking interfaces and blind spot cameras improve more?
