Survey: Which system will benefit safety the most?
30 November 2018
The European Commission recently published the latest figures on road safety, showing another decrease in fatalities during 2017. However, while this may seem like a good outcome, the Commission is still working towards a target of almost zero road deaths by 2050.
The advent of new technology has often been credited with helping the most towards these results. The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) has suggested that more systems could be included in type approval clauses in order to further boost the safety of vehicles on the continent.
However, with so many technological gains, Autovista Group wants to know which safety system will contribute most in the coming years. Are current technologies such as active braking and lane departure warnings going to continue leading the safety drive, or would alcohol locking interfaces and blind spot cameras improve more?
