Key Account Manager Consulting & TCO-Solutions

Summary of role:

The primary objective of the role is to deliver revenue (new business and renewal) in line with or in excess of targets within a set of nominated key accounts and develop strategically important relationships with key personnel within the nominated sector.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with a portfolio of major clients to acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales with new customers establishing long-lasting relationships
  • Achieving or exceeding new business sales targets by prospecting, arranging appointments, responding to leads, presenting products and services and closing the sale
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner and correctly invoiced
  • Meet the monthly KPI’s (number of meetings, new opportunities, proposals send out and new pitches to new customers)
  • Follow the contract approval process and make sure that all contracts and purchase orders are checked by the legal department
  • Monitoring and managing the opportunity pipeline to meet monthly, quarterly and annual objectives and document all sales activities in Salesforce and a monthly key account metrics report
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams to resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
  • Gaining a comprehensive knowledge of all products and services and understanding their market place and what differentiates them from competitors’ products and services to be able to provide deep insights towards the customers
  • Collaborating with the KAM organisation outside of own division in identifying leads and business opportunities to ensure growth attainment

 

Experience, skills and abilities:

  • Proven work experience as an account manager, key account manager, junior account manager or other relevant experience within the automotive industry
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive/senior board level
  • Excellent customer-orientation and networking skill – a strong automotive network will be of advantage
  • Proven ability to manage multiple account management projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Previous experience of delivering significant new business revenue in addition to retaining and growing existing business
  • General role-related skills: strong orientation towards team work, active and self-driven, exhibits the drive and courage to overcome obstacles, affinity to develop new opportunities and build long-lasting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, flexible, open to European travel, used to be measured on achievement of KPIs
  • Solid experience with CRM software (Salesforce) and MS Office (particularly MS PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Degree in Business Administration or relevant field
  • Language skills: fluent in English and the language of the country where the role is located; further languages are a plus
  • Must be in possession of a valid driving licence
